All the cool kids.

Well everyone else is doing it...and talking about it. BUYcott Starbucks. The backstory. I dislike their coffee but love the scones that the one next to my work sells.

New gun and new holster.

Since starting my new job I have needed a new holster to conceal my bersa. I found it in the galco tuck n go. It's a great holster, minus one thing the pattern is for a rounded trigger guard, and the bersa has a squared one. Still a little work, and letting it sit in the holsters and it fits fine now. It rides at 11:30, and no one is the wiser. Pretty comfy too.

Got it pretty cheap too, 23 bucks not including shipping.
Sadly last gun purchase for awhile, Partner and I need to save for other things.

Sir Sig is here.

I just got back from Florida, and paying the down payment on my Dads Sig 226. He started loading up all the ammo and handing me holsters, and kinda made it a point that I was leaving then with the Sig.

This Sig holds a very dear place in my heart. This is the first firearm I ever fired at the age of 6. It is also the firearm that saved my Dad and Moms life. It cemented my love of Sigs, and made me eventually get a a Sig 220. It has never had a single malfunction in 23 years, and was my Dads service pistol his whole career as a Deputy.

I've spent more time at the range with this pistol then every other firearm I have ever shot combined. It fits my hand like that favorite pair of jeans, and at 7 yards I can put 15 rounds in a one inch square.

Needless to say, I will be passing this pistol on to my kids.

Headin to Gunshine state

This Sunday I will be heading out on my first day off to Florida. Then it will be back 2 days later to work....where the general store manager just stepped down as manager.

In gun news Sig has come out with the 224 a compact 9mm, 357sig , and 40 s&w. It's pretty much the 290 on steroids. No decocker, and seems to be DAO. I'm just not feeling it. The 290 just doesn't feel like a Sig, and the DAO was nice but not what I want in a Sig.
